What stays the same
The standard is neutral on which rules apply. Law and regulation decide that, applied by issuers and their advisers.
Questions you’ll be asked
Has the standard been reviewed publicly?
Yes. It went through Ethereum’s open review process and reached Final status in December 2023.
Can rules differ by jurisdiction?
Yes. Each token’s compliance rules can restrict holders by country, using the country stored for each investor.
Does the standard decide who is eligible?
No. The issuer chooses which verifiers to trust and which claims are required.
